MAAC Basketball Tournament 2012: Bracket And Schedule

The MAAC has released the bracket for its conference tournament, defining the path that Scott Machado and top-seeded Iona must follow for an NCAA berth.

The Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference has released its bracket and schedule for their 2012 tournament to determine which team from the Northeast will earn a berth in the NCAA Tournament. The Iona Gaels, led by the nation's assist leader in point guard Scott Machado, earned the conference's top seed. The coaches of the MAAC feel that, should Iona be upset this week, they still deserve an NCAA bid.

The Loyola Greyhounds earned the No. 2 seed, the Manhattan Jaspers (who are actually from the Bronx) earned the third seed and the Fairfield Stags are the fourth seed. Here are the rest of the teams and the schedule of play. Aside from the first two games, all matchups will be broadcast on ESPN3, except the final.
