The Wisconsin Badgers did their best to live up to every negative stereotype about their style of play on Tuesday night. And along with the Minnesota Golden Gophers, the two teams did their best to live up to every negative stereotype about Big Ten basketball, too. The first half was a truly ugly affair in which the Badgers scored just 16 points, but they were better in the second half and rallied to win 52-45.

The Wisconsin Badgers held on to defeat the Minnesota Golden Gophers on Tuesday night in one of the worst basketball games anyone has seen this season.

Both teams got to the free throw line exactly 29 times, and each team made more free throws than they did field goals. In the case of Minnesota, they made nearly twice as many free throws as they did field goals. The Badgers shot 31 percent from the floor, while the Gophers shot a jaw-droppingly abysmal 24 percent.
Andre Hollins led Minnesota in scoring with 18 points while making just three shots from the floor. Jordan Taylor accomplished a similar feat, leading the Badgers with 22 points while only making four field goals.
