Jeremy Lamb added 17 points and collected eight rebounds in the win for Connecticut (15-7, 5-5 Big East), while Alex Oriakhi finished with 10 points and eight boards off the bench.
The duo of Jordan Theodore and Aaron Cosby tallied 10 points apiece to pace Seton Hall (15-8, 4-7), while Fuquan Edwin pulled down a game-high 10 rebounds. The Pirates were held to a paltry 24.0 percent from the field during the first period of play, opening a commanding 30-17 halftime lead for Connecticut.
The Huskies never looked back during the second stanza, as the squad hit 48.3 percent from the floor to go with a 10-of-13 effort at the foul line to roll to a 23-point victory.
The Pirates connected on just 25.9 percent of their attempts from the floor during the contest, including a meager 5-of-26 performance from long range. UConn played without its head coach Jim Calhoun as he is on a medical leave of absence.
