No. 1 Kentucky Vs. South Carolina: Anthony Davis Scores 22 In Wildcat Romp

Anthony Davis scored 22 points and No. 1 Kentucky had no trouble racing past South Carolina, 86-52, on Saturday for its 15th straight win.

Doron Lamb added 18 points, Terrence Jones scored 16 and the Wildcats (23-1, 9-0 SEC) remained unbeaten since their last-second loss to Indiana on December 10.

Davis and Jones outscored South Carolina by themselves in the first half, 34-25, as Kentucky built a 52-25 lead.

Damien Leonard had 19 points and Anthony Gill scored 10 for the Gamecocks (9-13, 1-7), who fell to 1-9 all-time versus the No. 1 team in the AP poll.

The Wildcats are on a roll since their first and only loss of the season, 73-72 at Indiana back on Dec. 10, having collected 14-straight wins. They’ve also won seven of their nine league games by 13 points or more.
