Women’s NCAA Selection Show: Time, TV Coverage And More

Baylor is largely expected to get the top seed in the NCAA Women’s Tournament when seedings are announced during Monday’s Selection Show on ESPN.

There will be little surprise when the Baylor Lady Bears are announced as the top seed for the 64-team 2012 Women’s NCAA Tournament during Monday’s Selection Show. The Lady Bears (34-0) are poised to make history, as they try to become the first team to cap an undefeated season with a 40th win. They are also trying to avenge last year’s disappointing loss in the Elite Eight when they were also a No. 1 seed.

This year, the Lady Bears are even better than in 2011. They dominated their opponents all year, winning by an average of more than 27 points per game. Among those wins were eight over Top 25 teams, including convincing wins over Notre Dame and UConn, both of whom were ranked No. 2 at the time of the games.

Stanford (28-1), Notre Dame (29-2) and UConn (27-4) are generally expected to get the other top seeds.

When: Monday, 7 p.m. EST

TV: ESPN
