Davis was outstanding in the final couple of minutes, closing out any hope for Florida on a sequence where he swatted a shot, led the breakaway to the other end and then capped it off with an emphatic putback dunk for good measure. Davis finished with a game-high 22 points, 12 rebounds and six blocks while Jones added 19 points, three steals and a pair of blocks himself.
The Wildcats are now the top seed in the SEC tournament while the Gators fell to the fourth seed with Sunday’s loss.
