Pac-12 Tournament 2012, Washington Vs. Oregon State Final Score: Beavers Stun No. 1-Seeded Huskies, 86-84

The Washington Huskies received a bye Wednesday as the No. 1 seed in the 2012 Pacific Life Pac-12 Tournament, enjoying an extra day before taking on the No. 9 Oregon St. Beavers in the quarterfinals Thursday at Staples Center in Los Angeles. But in a game that saw 13 lead changes, the Beavers gave the Huskies all they could handle and more, knocking out the top seed by the score of 86-84.

OSU ran out to a 13-point halftime lead, but UW got back into the game over the first eight minutes of the second half, and the two teams went back and forth down to the final minute. Jared Cunningham cut to the basket with 30 seconds left for an and-one to give the Beavers back the lead. Washington's Tony Wroten got to the line the next time down, but missed both his chances. Cunningham would ice two more with six seconds left, followed by an egregious foul by Austin Seferian-Jenkins on the ensuing inbound that gave the Beavers back the ball.

This is the this first time a No. 9 seed has upset a No. 1 seed in the Pac-12 Tournament.

Oregon State (19-13, 7-11 Pac-12) used a balanced offensive attack as five Beavers finished in double figures, led by Devon Collier's 19 and Cunningham's 18 and 10 rebounds. Joe Burton and Ahmad Starks each added 14 apiece.

Freshman Wroten's 29 points and seven boards would ultimately prove not enough for Washington (21-10, 14-4 Pac-12). Wroten shot 9-of-15 from the stripe. C.J. Wilcox added 16 off the Huskies' bench, while Terrence Ross had 15 points and five rebounds.

The game’s full box score can be found here.

Oregon St. now meets the winner of the matchup between the No. 4 seed Arizona Wildcats and the No. 5 UCLA Bruins, set for 5:30 p.m. ET Thursday evening.
