ACC Tournament 2012: Bracket And Schedule For Friday’s Quarterfinals

The heavyweights hop into the ACC Tournament on Friday, with Duke, North Carolina, Florida State and Virginia all making their debuts. Each received a bye into the quarterfinals of the tournament, with UNC earning the top seed over Duke thanks to a win in the final regular season game of the year.

In the quarterfinals, they’ll face the four winners from Thursday. Maryland cruised to a 22-point win over Wake Forest in the first matchup of the opening round, moving on to face UNC as a result. North Carolina State also won easily, putting away Boston College by 21. No. 7 seed Clemson wasn’t so lucky as Virginia Tech secured a five-point win to knock the Tigers out of the tournament. In the last game of the day, Miami held Georgia Tech to just 36 points in an easy win.
