Four Indiana Schools Agree To Keep Crossroads Classic Through 2014
Indiana, Purdue, Butler and Notre Dame have agreed to extend the Crossroads Classic basketball event through the year 2014.

Athletic directors Barry Collier (Butler), Fred Glass (Indiana), Jack Swarbrick (Notre Dame) and Morgan Burke (Purdue) each signed an addendum to the original Crossroads Classic contract on Tuesday.
The schools initially agreed to a two-year contract that began last season, but the addendum will allow for the event to take place on this year’s originally scheduled date of Dec. 15, as well as Dec. 14, 2013, and Dec. 20, 2014.
Bankers Life Fieldhouse in Indianapolis will remain the host of the event for the full term of the agreement.
“The competition will continue to showcase our four institutions and their teams in an electric atmosphere in a great venue,” Collier said in a release. “Indianapolis is the perfect location for these elite college basketball matchups.”
Butler defeated Purdue 67-65 and Indiana topped Notre Dame 69-58 in last season’s inaugural event. This season, the Hoosiers will face Butler, while the Boilermakers will meet the Fighting Irish.
Arch-rivals Indiana and Purdue will never meet in the event due to the fact that they already have scheduled meetings in Big Ten conference play.
