The latest Connecticut Husky to hit the road in the wake of the program’s postseason ban is Roscoe Smith, who has announced he will transfer to UNLV.
Roscoe Smith Transferring From Connecticut To UNLV
Former Connecticut forward Roscoe Smith is transferring to UNLV. He has two years of eligibility remaining.

Smith, a starter on UConn’s 2010 national championship team, has two years of eligibility left.
Because of the Huskies’ 2013 postseason ban for low APR scores, Smith could be eligible to play for the Runnin’ Rebels right away. UNLV head coach Dave Rice would not confirm that he will, although he did say there would be a waiver request submitted to the NCAA on Smith’s behalf.
Smith becomes the fifth player to leave Connecticut since news of the postseason ban first broke. Jeremy Lamb and Andre Drummond both declared themselves eligible for the NBA Draft, while Alex Oriakhi and Michael Bradley have transferred to Missouri and Western Kentucky, respectively.
Smith averaged 4.4 points and 3.4 rebounds in 18.2 minutes a game last season.
