Just when you thought bizarre Baylor basketball news was a thing of the past.
Former Baylor Basketball Player Arrested And Charged For Attempt To Extort Robert Griffin III
Baylor basketball is back in the news for the wrong reasons, as a former player has been arrested by the FBI and charged with attempting to extort Heisman Trophy winner Robert Griffin III.

Former Bear baller Richard Khamir Hurd was arrested by FBI agents over the weekend in connection with an alleged attempt to extort Baylor Heisman Trophy winner Robert Griffin III.
The initial hearing for Hurd has been set for 2 p.m. CT Monday in the United States Federal Court House. FBI agents have said they cannot comment on the details of Hurd’s arrest until after his court appearance.
Court records show that this is not Hurd’s first run in with the law. He was arrested back in 2008 by the Waco Police Dept. for sexual assault.
Hurd was a walk-on at Baylor from 2004-08. His best season in Waco was his freshman campaign of 2004-05 when he averaged 4.0 points and 2.1 rebounds for the Bears.
