Highlighted by showdowns with rivals Louisville and Duke, defending national champion Kentucky has released its full non-conference schedule for the 2012-13 season.
Kentucky Releases Non-Conference Schedule For 2012-13
Defending national champion Kentucky has released a non-conference schedule for 2012-13 that might not excite the season-ticket holders in Lexington.

The Wildcats will have tough road tests at Notre Dame (Big East/SEC Challenge) and their in-state arch-rivals from Louisville, as well as neutral site showdowns against ACC powers Duke (Georgia Dome) and Maryland (Barclays Center in Brooklyn). Outside of that and a Dec. 1 date with Baylor, however, the schedule does not provide much pop for the fans in Lexington.
Here’s the full non-conference slate for John Calipari’s team:
Nov. 1 -- Northwood (Exh.)
Nov. 5 -- Transylvania (Exh.)
Nov. 9 -- Maryland (at Barclays Center)
Nov. 13 -- Duke (at Georgia Dome)
Nov. 16 -- Lafayette
Nov. 21 -- Morehead State
Nov. 23 -- Long Island
Nov. 29 -- at Notre Dame
Dec. 1 -- Baylor
Dec. 4 -- Samford
Dec. 8 --Portland
Dec. 15 --Lipscomb
Dec. 22 -- Marshall
Dec. 29 -- at Louisville
Jan. 2 -- Eastern Michigan
It would seem as though Kentucky’s 52-game home winning streak -- easily the longest active streak in Division I --should be safe until the team heads into SEC play.
