ESPN Announces 2013 Big Monday Schedule For The Big 12

Defending national runner-up Kansas will make four appearances on ESPN’s Big Monday this season, the most of any team in the Big 12.

ESPN has released the 2013 schedule for its Big Monday games featuring the Big 12, which features nine tilts between the league’s top teams.

The popular weekday series will again consist of a doubleheader featuring top teams from the Big East followed by top teams from the Big 12. Big Monday will air every Monday during conference play from January 14 to March 4. For the second straight year there will be an additional two games played between Big East and Big 12 Teams on Martin Luther King Jr. Day, Jan. 21.

Defending national runner-up Kansas leads all Big 12 teams with four Big Monday appearances. The Jayhawks will kick things off by hosting Baylor at 9 p.m.

Big 12 newcomer West Virginia will appear on Big Monday three times, including in consecutive weeks against Kansas and Texas on Jan. 28 and Feb. 4. Baylor and Texas will also be making three appearances.

Here is the full 2013 Big Monday slate for the Big 12:

Jan. 14 -- Baylor at Kansas, 9 p.m.

Jan. 21 (Martin Luther King Jr. Day) -- Oklahoma State at Baylor, 5:30 p.m. and Texas at Oklahoma, 9:30 p.m.

Jan. 28 -- Kansas at West Virginia, 9 p.m.

Feb. 4 -- Texas at West Virginia, 9 p.m.

Feb. 11 -- Kansas State at Kansas, 9 p.m.

Feb. 18 -- West Virginia at Kansas State, 9 p.m.

Feb. 25 -- Kansas at Iowa State, 9 p.m.

March 4 -- Baylor at Texas, 9 p.m.

ESPN will announce the Big Monday schedule for the Big East at a later time.
