BYU sophomore guard Damarcus Harrison will transfer to Clemson, Cougars head coach Dave Rose announced Monday.
BYU Transfer Damarcus Harrison Picks Clemson
BYU has announced that former four-star recruit Damarcus Harrison is transferring to Clemson.

“We appreciate the hard work and dedication Damarcus gave to our program this past season,” Rose said in a statement. “Damarcus is a great young man from a wonderful family. We wish them the very best with this new opportunity.”
Harrison, a four-star recruit coming out of high school, averaged just 3.2 points and 1.0 rebounds while playing less than nine minutes per game as a freshman at BYU in 2011-12.
When announcing his intention to transfer, Harrison explained that he had planned to leave on a two-year church mission this summer, but that the mission was delayed. When he attempted to return to BYU, he was informed that his scholarshio had been given away.
A native of North Carolina, Harrison has announced that he will be seeking a waiver from the NCAA to allow him to play immediately. The immediate addition of Harrison would help Clemson cushion the loss of sophomore Devin Coleman, who is out 6-8 months after tearing his ACL in July.
