Andrew Wiggins Reclassification Decision Expected Soon

High school basketball’s top player, Andrew Wiggins, will soon decide if he will move up to the Class of 2013 or stay put in the Class of 2014.

Presswire

The top high school basketball player in the country, Andrew Wiggins, will soon decide whether to reclassify to the Class of 2013 or stay in the Class of 2014. If Wiggins reclassifies, he will be eligible to play in college next season and enter the 2014 NBA Draft.

Wiggins, a 6’8 forward from Huntington Prep, has said he does not want to make any decisions without talking to his parents. It is expected that his parents will come down from Wiggins’ hometown of Toronto, Canada, either this week or next to help him make his final decision.

Although several teams are interested in the talented forward, the Kentucky Wildcats and Florida State Seminoles have been the leaders in his recruitment. Wiggins' parents, former NBA player Mitchell Wiggins and Olympic medalist Marita Payne, both attended Florida State. Both John Calipari and and Leonard Hamilton have visited with Wiggins in the past week.
