Gaming The BCS Standings: For Boise State, There Is No Overkill

SB Nation’s top sports scientists are projecting Boise State to finish atop 2010’s first BCS standings. ESPN agrees with us. Still, the Broncos are in the thick of their WAC slate and will need to put up some serious numbers this weekend to look impressive.

↵The Spartans are 1-5, with a win over Southern Utah and a one-point loss to UC Davis as the highest points of their season. Boise State is favored by 41 points, and SB Nation’s OBNUG says this could be “the most lopsided game of the season.” Up in Idaho, that’s saying something.
The lowest predicted score we’ve seen from a Bronco fan thus far is a paltry 47 points. Gentle readers, over to you:
