On Saturday, Texas charged right out of the gate against No. 5 Nebraska.
The Longhorns scored first with a Justin Tucker field goal. Unfortunately for Nebraska, running back Roy Helu, Jr., fumbled away the ball on the first play of the ensuing drive. Taking over with great field position, Texas didn’t let the opportunity slip, as quarterback Garrett Gilbert scooted in for a touchdwon.
Unranked Texas now leads in the first quarter, 10-0. After consecutive losses to UCLA and No. 8 Oklahoma, Texas is running on all cylinders today.
