The third quarter in Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum has largely been characterized by ineptitude.
UW starts the half with a 10-yard penalty on the opening kickoff return, and ends the ensuing drive with a 35-yard field goal. USC's followup drive is cut short by a Marc Tyler fumble. Washington's responding drive is stymied by a third-down sack on Jake Locker in USC territory (and another 10-yard penalty).
Then, a breath of life: Allen Bradford and Ronald Johnson combine for four runs and one catch, respectively, to knock off 54 yards in relatively short order, culminating in a 16-yard Bradford touchdown skitter.
At the end of the third quarter, USC leads, 28-23.
