Missouri rolled into Lincoln with an unblemished record. Unless things change, and quickly, the Tigers will be leaving their date in Nebraska’s Sea of Red with a loss and a Roy Helu-shaped bruise on their season.
Roy Helu May Hand Missouri First Loss All By Himself
↵After the first quarter, Nebraska leads Mizzou 24-0, and has outgained the Tigers 256-47. Helu has two of the Cornhuskers’ three touchdowns, and both came on runs of more than 65 yards. In fact, Helu is averaging 47.3 yards per carry on his three rushes so far, which is, frankly, insane.
↵Whether this is more indicative of Nebraska roaring back into the national picture after a stunning upset at Texas’ hands or Missouri simply expending its one Upset A Traditional Big 12 Power card last week against Oklahoma remains to be seen — the first half isn’t even over yet — but it’s a safe bet that both are valid in some part. It’s also a fairly safe wager that Helu will score again.
