Why should any part of Auburn’s season be boring?
Wild Game Early In Oxford: Ole Miss Scores, Cam Newton Catches Touchdown For Auburn
↵
After ascending to the top of the BCS rankings for the first time in school history, the Tigers were favorites to beat Mississippi handily today, then gave up an 83-yard touchdown run to the Rebels' Jeff Scott on the first play from scrimmage. Predictably, Auburn turned to all-everything quarterback Cam Newton for an answer.
↵
But it came in an odd way: Newton caught a touchdown pass from Kodi Burns — who himself has seen time at both quarterback and wideout at Auburn — to tie the game at 7-7. And that all happened in the first three minutes of the first quarter.
↵On a day when favorites are dropping like flies, it sure seems like Auburn will at least have a bit more fight.
