VIDEO: Will Hill’s Overtime Interception Return Doesn’t Quite Win It For Florida

Just when you think a 31-31 game in the blowout-friendly Florida-Georgia rivalry can’t get better, the World’s Largest Outdoor Cocktail Party goes to overtime for the first time.

And just when you think overtime is tense enough, Will Hill returns an interception 90 yards on the single most exciting inconsequential play of this year.

It’s maybe Hill’s finest moment as a Gator, which should tell you something. He’s been in and out of Urban Meyer’s doghouse this fall after two relatively nondescript years as an underclassman, then had a moment of infamy earlier this season.

And, amusingly, it ultimately meant no more as a return than it would have if Hill fell as soon as he snagged the errant Aaron Murray pass, thanks to Chas Henry hitting a game-winning field goal for Florida on their first possession in overtime.

But the series that produced “Run, Lindsay, Run!“ nearly produced an equal to that moment today. And if nothing else, Hill proved, for one night, that the “Thrill” nickname he came to Florida with may have been well-earned.
