Internet darling Ed Orgeron, hospitalized this week for a staph infection in his broken foot, has been released and plans to coach the Trojans at Stanford this Saturday. It’s safe to make jokes about this now because:

  1. ↵↵He’s on the mend, and therefore fair game.
  2. ↵Ed Orgeron really does talk like this, and imagining him trying to communicate with a medical professional is funny.
  3. ↵We now have a scapegoat for the shower discipline story.
  4. ↵It’s hard for fans of the game with mid-range memories to feel sorry for the guy, anyway.↵This quote: “Kiffin said he doesn’t have any contingency plans for coaching the defense if Orgeron isn’t back by Saturday.”
