Three years ago, Wisconsin coach Bret Bielema capped a contentious 41-34 win over Minnesota by saying “You want a rivalry, you got one.“ Today, Bielema might have paid Minnesota back for alleged rough play in that game by going for two while up 25.
Wisconsin Goes For Two Up 25, Minnesota’s Tim Brewster Calls It ‘Wrong’

↵I don’t really respect the “The card says so” defense Bielema employs — Wisconsin could have kicked a PAT, gone up by 26 and sparked no controversy — but I don’t have much sympathy for Brewster’s Gophers. It’s hard to feel for a team whose only win this year came against Middle Tennessee State, and Brewster will likely be able to tell everyone on the unemployment line how wrong Bielema was before long.
↵Oh, and the conversion? It was unsuccessful, and Wisconsin eventually won 41-23.
