College Football Rankings: Oregon Takes Top Spot In Week 11 Polls

The Big East is a terrible, terrible, terrible association of football teams.

How bad is it, you ask? Well, no Big East teams are ranked in the USA Today coaches poll for Week 11, and the only Big East team even receiving votes is Pittsburgh.

It’s still just a few Pac-10 teams that show up in the USA Today poll, but at least the conference has the poll’s top slot.

Only three Pac-10 schools are part of the USA Today coaches poll for Week 11, but all three are in the top 20.

The Big Ten may not have a ton of depth, but the big four teams in the conference continue to rise in the USA Today coaches poll.

It’s the same four teams as always in the USA Today coaches poll for Week 11, and no Big Ten team is higher than Wisconsin at fifth or lower than Iowa at 13th. This seems about right for a conference that has beaten itself black and blue this year, though the only team egregiously ranked ahead of one it beat is Michigan State, which still has a higher ranking than the Iowa team that torched it.

The Big 12’s weird weekend has hurt it in the Week 11 USA Today coaches poll.

Though five Big 12 schools are ranked, none show up in the top seven, and Oklahoma State’s seven-spot leap comes at the expense of Baylor.

The SEC’s “down year” definitely means nothing to the USA Today coaches poll voters.

Seven SEC teams show up in the USA Today coaches poll for Week 11, leading all conferences, and five are in the top 18.

To no one’s surprise, Oregon is on top of the college football world for another week.

The Ducks top the just-released USA Today coaches poll, and should be atop both of the college football polls this week.
