Cam Newton Snubbed By FWAA, Left Off All-America Team

I just returned from traveling two hours into the future and have two items to report: Cam Newton will win the Heisman Trophy, and there still aren’t flying cars. Upon my return, though, I discovered this: when the Football Writers Association of America announced its All-America Team earlier on Saturday, Cam Newton was not on it.

Newton was cleared of any wrongdoing by an NCAA investigation, he was the top-rated passer in the country this season, and he's leading his Auburn Tigers to the BCS Championship. Perhaps the 12 voters in question are allergic to controversy. In any case, Newton doesn't care:

"Me not being on somebody’s ballot or All-America team, it really doesn’t affect me," Newton said at a Saturday press conference just a few hours before the Heisman Trophy award presentation.

↵It might not bother him, and I don’t know about you guys, but my Football Writers Association of America All-America Team-themed party is ruined. My friends have all canceled. Who is going to eat all of this Football Writers Association of America All-America Team-themed guacamole?
