It's been a tumultuous year in the 2010 Heisman Trophy Race. We've seen candidates like Denard Robinson and Terrelle Pryor skyrocket to sure-thing contention early, only to slide into injury or mediocrity come November. We've watched Ryan Mallett's star rise with amazing rapidity and plummet to earth with one ill-timed interception. At one point during the season, we're pretty sure people were entertaining Matt Barkley as a serious threat to take this thing home, and wouldn't that just show everyone. Now, we're down to college football's final four, and the announcement is mere minutes away.
So who'll it be for you, gentle readers? If you had a vote in the Heisman Trophy race, would you cast it with a frontrunning national title contender like Cam Newton, and turn a rosy eye to questions of integrity? Would you throw your support behind the wee running back and fellow Glendalegoer LaMichael James? Or with the nearly-as-wee pure passer Kellen Moore? Or what about a prototypical pro template guy like Andrew Luck? (Or somebody else entirely)
