The 2010 Armed Forces Bowl, kicking off Thursday afternoon in Gerald Ford Stadium, will feature one player on his home turf with aspirations of Sunday action. Southern Methodist receiver Aldrick Robinson is projected to be selected in the sixth or seventh round of the 2011 NFL Draft.
As a three-year starter for the Mustangs, Robinson has been racking up honors and records almost as long as he's been playing. He earned honorable mention all-conference honors in his sophomore season, made the Biletnikoff watch list as a junior, and was selected for first-team All-Conference USA following the close of this last regular season. His 13 touchdowns in 2010 are a program record. Robinson passed the 3,000-yard career receiving mark in SMU's November win against Marshall.
