The 2010 college football postseason rattles on toward Glendale, and it’s time to place all your money set aside for Christmas shopping on ridiculous, half-assed bowl games played by largely inept football teams. Degenerate gamblers, start your engines. Now playing: SMU and Army in the Armed Forces Bowl.
The line: Vegas has the Mustangs favored by just over a touchdown.
Notable SMU units: The nation’s 22nd-ranked passing offense will be an interesting respite from Army’s polar-opposite attack.
Notable Army units: The Black Knights boast the nation’s 10th-ranked rushing offense, which complements their dead-in-the-water-last passing offense.
The pick: We’re surprised SMU isn’t getting more love for playing this game on their home turf, and like the chance the Knights’ 23rd-ranked pass defense has of shutting down the Mustangs’ aerial attack. Army in a squeaker.
The 2010 Armed Forces Bowl kicks off at noon EST. The game will be televised on ESPN. Browse our 2010 college football postseason schedule for a complete list of bowls.
