Going into the Chick-fil-A Bowl, the focus was on South Carolina's dynamic freshman running back Marcus Lattimore. Unfortunately, on the Gamecocks' first possession, Lattimore got absolutely rocked after catching a pass in the flat. Instead of being treated to the Lattimore show in the bowl game, the freshman is in the locker room, leaving us with a game that's been less than entertaining.

(H/T to Bubba Prog)
Lattimore left the game with a mouth injury, of all things, after taking a well-placed shoulder right in the chin strap. The SEC Freshman of the Year is still in the locker room being examined and is doubtful to return. Without their talented running back, South Carolina looks lost as Stephen Garcia tries to maneuver Steve Spurrier's offense without much of a running game. Of course, his three first half interceptions aren't helping matters, either.
The hit was legal and Florida State recovered the fumble, setting up a 29-yard field goal. South Carolina has yet to score with time winding down in the first half as its offense continues to shoot itself in the foot. Guess we know how much Lattimore means to the offense now.
