You would think, by now, that athletes would be wise to the fact that people actually read their Twitter accounts and might take offense at something like suggesting suicide. When it comes to Jaz Reynolds, you would be wrong.
‘Kill Yourself.’ You Know, Like That Gunman On Campus. LOLzVille
Yes, Mr. Reynolds found a creative way to send his regards to Texas students after a shooting on their campus:
Hey everyone in Austin, tx. . .kill yourself.
But, before we’re too hard on Reynolds, he took it all back. Sort of.
everyone in Austin tx disregard that last tweet. Ya’ll will mess around and do it. LMAO.
Reynolds has been suspended from Saturday’s Red River Rivalry -- which, we are required to note for irony’s sake, was once called the “Red River Shootout” before political correctness took over -- something that is both the right decision and the best thing for Reynolds’ skeletal integrity.
Crimson And Cream Machine, our Oklahoma blog, approves.
Reynolds used incredibly poor judgment leading to the suspension and adding to the significant disappointment he has proven to be after coming on late last year.
And so, apparently, does TweetDeck. Even it knows when you’ve gone too far.
