Notre Dame football landed a commitment from Top-100 linebacker Ishaq Williams early Friday morning. And by early, we mean... EARLY. From Chicago Breaking Sports:
Ishaq Williams Commits To Notre Dame, And College Football Recruiting Sounds A Little Bit Like Stalking
↵↵Before the sun rose on Friday, Notre Dame defensive coordinator Bob Diaco reportedly was at the home of prized linebacker recruit Ishaq Williams. ... Diaco’s in-home visit began at 4:30 a.m. Friday in Brooklyn, N.Y., according to Irish Illustrated, and that helped secure the pledge of a 6-foot-6, 230-pound specimen rated the No. 62 prospect nationally by Rivals.com.
↵↵HOLD UP. Williams considered it a good thing that some middle-aged football coach surprised him at 4:30 a.m. to talk about college? Because as often as I’ve imagined how I’d handle the recruiting process as a superstar athlete, I gotta say: that’s just creepy.
↵If someone knocks on MY door at 4:30 a.m., there better be a fire, a dying baby, or a naked woman. I mean... All due respect to Bob Diaco’s dedication, but all other conversations can wait until 8 a.m. Then again, this is the college football recruiting we’re talking about.
↵Maybe Diaco had a naked woman with him.
