Stanford Vs. Washington State TV Schedule, Spread, Game Time And More

The Cardinal will visit Washington State as prohibitive favorites, but the Cougars have actually had some success against their Pac-12 rivals.

There’s simply no getting around the fact that Stanford is going to be a heavy favorite against Washington State despite this game being in Pullman, Wash. The Cardinal are coming off their most successful season in school history, are once again rolling through their competition and have the presumptive No. 1 pick in the 2012 NFL Draft taking snaps.

A look at the numbers does not paint much better of a picture for the Cougars. Three games into their Pac-12 schedule, Stanford has yet to be held to less than 37 points or give up more than 19. Including all five of their games, they are seventh in the nation with 46.2 points per game and sixth in the nation with 10.6 points allowed per game. Andrew Luck has thrown at least two touchdowns in every game and has yet to complete less than 64.5 percent of his passes in any contest.

Just to make the point even more clear, Rule of Tree suggests Luck is coming off one of his best performances of his college career:

  • He went 26-33 (and one INT) for 370 yards passing
  • He had three TDs
  • He had 11 different receivers, with only one receiver with less than 11 yards
  • He ran away from the Buffs blitzes (who led the conference in QB hits for loss) to end the game without a sack
  • Despite being the leader of a balanced offense, he only needed two yards of rushing and left the running to eight different Backs

The team over at Coug Center were able to find a just a sliver of hope in all of that, though:

In four of his 30 career games, Andrew Luck has completed less than 50 percent of his passes and one of them was vs WSU in 2009!

Game date, time: 7:30 pm ET, Saturday, Oct. 15

Location: Martin Stadium, Pullman, Wash.

TV channel: Versus

Spread: Stanford favored by 20

Series history: Stanford leads 35-25-1
