Clemson Vs. Maryland TV Schedule, Spread, Game Time And More
Quarterback Tajh Boyd and the Clemson Tigers will attempt to remain undefeated against the Maryland Terrapins on Saturday.
Redshirt sophomore quarterback Tajh Boyd leads the No.8-ranked Clemson Tigers into College Park to take on the 2-3 Maryland Terrapins on Saturday.
Clemson is 6-0 on the season, with Boyd leading a 20th-ranked offense that leads the ACC with 290 passing yards per game. Boyd's 15 touchdown passes ranking ninth nationally. Boyd strained his hip late in the first half of the Tigers' win over Boston College last week, but was cleared to practice and is expected to play on Saturday. Boyd's favorite target this season has been true freshman wide receiver Sammy Watkins, who leads the team with 38 receptions for 623 yards and six touchdowns.
Maryland is 0-2 against ranked opponents this season, losing at home to then-No. 18 West Virginia and on the road last to then-No. 13 Georgia Tech. Head coach Randy Edsall's team is disciplined --- Maryland ranks 3rd nationally in fewest penalties -- but rank 75th or lower in every category besides rushing offense, with senior running back Davin Meggett leading the way with 413 yards on the ground.
This will be the homecoming game for the Terrapins, who will be wearing all red uniforms on Saturday.
