Michigan Vs. Michigan State Score: Denard Robinson Strikes First, But Spartans Quickly Respond

The Michigan Wolverines marched down the field in six minutes on their first possession to take a 7-0 lead over the Michigan State Spartans. With winds swirling over 30 miles per hour, Michigan faked a 39-yard field goal on fourth-and-3 to inch out a first down.

Two plays later, Denard Robinson took the shotgun snap and began scanning the field for a receiver. His protection broke down, and the Spartans quickly swarmed the quarterback. Robinson somehow escaped the arm tackle of one defender before taking off towards the left side of the end zone and sneaking the ball inside the pylon for a 15-yard touchdown.

The Spartans responded with a methodical touchdown of their own, gashing the Michigan defense on the ground on a four-minute drive. Le'Veon Bell took the handoff from the one-yard-line for the score. Nearing the end of the first quarter, the score is now tied 7-7.
