Peyton Manning, Analyst: Because He’s Never In Danger of Overexposure

So Peyton Manning was called on to provide some commentary and background noise as LSU continued to bludgeon his alma mater. And, in something that should come as no surprise to those of us who watch his commercials, Manning’s actually pretty good at the whole analyst deal.
Manning's answer to a question about how often quarterbacks throw off their back foot was thorough and interesting. And he showed the art of the gentle tweak, asking Gary Danielson to draw on his wealth of experience as a backup to tell the folks at home what a guy like Matt Simms felt like, stepping in for Tyler Bray.
About the only thing that didn’t go well, at least as far as Tennessee fans are concerned, was how Manning’s stop in the booth ended -- with a touchdown for LSU to go up by 24-7, all but putting the game out of reach.
