Ole Miss jumped out to a 17-0 lead over Arkansas last weekend and appeared to be on its way to an upset. Unfortunately for the Rebels, they were unable to maintain the outstanding effort for 60 minutes, and the Razorbacks fought back to post a 29-24 triumph. Houston Nutt’s Ole Miss squad is now a lowly 2-5 overall, and four of the last four outings have ended in defeat.
Auburn has won 12 consecutive games at Jordan-Hare Stadium, which is tied for the seventh longest win streak at the stadium in program history. The Tigers’ three losses this season have come against teams currently ranked in the top-10, including last weekend’s embarrassing setback to No. 1 LSU by a 45-10 final. While disappointed, Gene Chizik’s group must refocus in a hurry, as a win this weekend would make the club eligible for a bowl game.
Game date, time: 7:00 pm ET, Saturday, October 29th
Location: Jordan-Hare Stadium, Auburn, Alabama
TV channel: ESPNU
Spread: Auburn favored by 9.
Series history: Auburn leads, 26-9.
