BYU Vs. TCU Final Score: Horned Frogs Capitalize On Mistakes In 38-28 Win

Casey Pachall threw for two touchdowns and the TCU Horned Frogs downed the BYU Cougars at Cowboys Stadium on Friday night, 38-28. Ball security was the name of the game as the Cougars committed three turnovers, making enough mistakes to allow TCU to keep them at bay.

TCU put up two quick scores to open the game, the first of which came just 45 seconds into the contest on a 48-yard pass from Pachall to Skye Dawson. Four minutes later, after a hilarious punt attempt by BYU, the Horned Frogs were in the end zone again, this time on a Matt Brown run.

BYU scored the next 10 points of the game, answering TCU’s early run to cut the deficit to four. But the second quarter was all Horned Frogs as Brown found the end zone from two yards out and Pachall threw his second touchdown pass of the game, this time to Josh Boyce.

Waymon James added another touchdown for TCU midway through the third quarter and TCU looked poised to run away with it. Again, BYU answered, scoring 10-straight points -- a touchdown on a punt return and a field goal -- to cut the Horned Frogs’ lead to 15.

Following a TCU field goal, BYU scored its final touchdown of the night with two minutes to go. The final score in Dallas: TCU 38, BYU 28.
