The Oklahoma St. Cowboys are No. 3 in Week 10's BCS rankings, and comfortably ahead of the Stanford Cardinal, putting them in line to take either the No. 2 spot should the LSU Tigers or Alabama Crimson Tide indeed lose on Nov. 5. One of these two teams almost certainly will lose. I have inside knowledge.
Bowl Game Projections Roundup, Week 10: Can Oklahoma Steal Okie State’s Title Berth?
Here’s a collection of Week 10 bowl projections, all of which feature two teams from Oklahoma in BCS games. But let’s not forget about the other 34 bowls, each of which needs projecting as well.
But keep an eye on the surging Oklahoma Sooners, who the human polls have adored all year long. The Coaches Poll, which makes up a third of the BCS, kept OU at No. 1 for multiple weeks after it was clear LSU had earned the spot. The Sooners have made their way back to No. 6 after losing to Texas Tech only a week ago, and could jump up and grab OK State's spot, since those two play each other as well.
But there are 34 other bowl games to project, almost all of them horrible and all of them precious. Here we’ve collected Week 10 projections by Phil Steele, Scout.com and ESPN’s Brad Edwards and Mark Schlabach:
