Dominique Easley Attacked Reggie Myles, According To Complaint

Former Alabama football player Reggie Myles alleges that current Florida Gators defensive tackle Dominique Easley assaulted him outside Ben Hill Griffin Stadium on Saturday night.

Former Alabama Crimson Tide football player Reggie Myles has filed a complaint with University of Florida Police alleging that current Florida Gators defensive lineman Dominique Easley assaulted him outside Ben Hill Griffin Stadium on Saturday night, Chase Goodbread of the Tuscaloosa News reports.

Myles alleges that he was attacked from behind, without provocation, and identified Easley as his assailant through a cellphone his attacker had dropped.

“His (Easley’s) parents were asking me for the phone back,” said Myles, who was separately charged by university police with public intoxication and criminal mischief.

“The charges against him were entirely based on his disorderly behavior following that, and I understand he was extremely agitated,” UPD Sergeant Steve Wilder said of the charges against Myles. “He’d just been hit from behind by an unknown assailant, and was scraped up pretty good. I understand him being upset. Unfortunately, we couldn’t get him to calm down.”

Thus far, police have not confirmed that Easley was Myles’ attacker and no arrests have been made. The sophomore defensive tackle had a season-high tackles in the Gators’ 38-10 loss on Saturday.
