Boise State Vs. Fresno State: Rout Is On In Fresno; Broncos Lead 23-0

The rout is on in Fresno, as the No. 5 Boise St. Broncos have taken a 23-0 lead over the Fresno State Bulldogs early in the second quarter.

Leading 16-0 after the first quarter, Heisman Trophy candidate Kellen Moore hit Geraldo Boldewijn for an 18-yard touchdown with 9:52 to play in the half. For Moore, it was his second touchdown pass of the game, tying the senior quarterback with Tim Rattay for sixth on college football's all-time leaderboard with 115 touchdown passes.

Boldewijn had dropped a touchdown pass earlier in the game, but Moore shook that off by finding wide receiver Matt Miller for a four-yard touchdown on third-and-goal to take a 7-0 lead. Dan Goodale kicked a 32-yard field goal to increase the lead to 10-0. Two plays after the Goodale field goal, Fresno State running back Devon Wylie fumbled and the Broncos recovered at the Bulldogs' 25-yard line. On the very next play, Boise State junior wide receiver Mitch Burroughs took an end-around 25 yards for a touchdown. Goodale missed the extra point to keep it a two-score game.
