Last year, Georgia tried taking a 21-7 lead against Auburn in the first quarter. It didn't work, as Cam Newton led the Tigers back to defeat the Bulldogs convincingly. This year, Georgia has decided to take an even bigger lead and hold it even longer. Georgia is routing the Tigers at halftime, with a 35-7 shellacking that includes four Aaron Murray touchdowns.
Auburn Vs. Georgia Halftime Score: Bulldogs Dismantling Tigers, 35-7
Overall, Murray is 13-of-16 for 217 yards and hasn't thrown an interception. Carlton Thomas has already rushed for 72 yards on eight carries. The Bulldogs have piled up 326 yards of total offense.
After a promising first drive, things have gone much worse for Auburn. The Tigers have turned the ball over twice and have just 90 yards of total offense -- including minus-11 rushing. Barring a comeback that even Cam Newton might not be able to key, the Bulldogs will role into Kentucky next week needing only an expected win there to clinch the SEC East.
