Texas A&M Vs. Kansas State Final Score: Cats Win Manhattan Marathon, 53-50

The Texas A&M Aggies opened up a 14-point lead and looked ready to run away with things in their matchup with Kansas State. After a scoreless first quarter, the Aggies scored twice in the first four minutes of the second to take a 14-0 lead over the 14th-ranked team in the nation.

But the Wildcats battled back, closing the half with a flurry to knot things up heading into the break. Colin Klein used his legs both times, running it in from two and three yards out. Klein has been kept relatively in check on the ground, rushing for 20 yards and those two scores. Klein also completed 8-of-10 passes for 96 yards in the half.

At one point, the Texas A&M Aggies were a top-ten team. They were an undefeated top-ten team that lead the Oklahoma State Cowboys at home, in fact. Now, at 3-3 in the Big 12 thanks to some gut-wrenching close losses, the Aggies are simply fighting for a January bowl game. The Kansas State Wildcats, meanwhile, have a very outside shot at an appearance in the BCS. They’re coming off of a thriller against the OSU Cowboys where they proved they can hang with the Big 12’s elite.
