Nothing is set in stone, but USC head coach Lane Kiffin is giving indications that wide receiver Robert Woods may not be able to play against Oregon on Saturday. The sophomore wide receiver has been dealing with an ankle injury for several weeks. But after playing last Saturday against Washington, he may have exasperated the injury. According the LA Daily News, Kiffin indicated the injury does not appear to be getting better, in any case.
Robert Woods Injury: USC WR May Miss Oregon Game
USC’s Robert Woods has been dealing with an ankle injury for quite some time and may be forced to miss Saturday’s game.
“If you look at the last two games and yesterday, he’s going in the wrong direction,” Kiffin said. “We have (scout) team corners he can’t go by right now.”
Woods has been one of the stars of the USC offense this year, making 92 catches, racking up 1,126 yards and scoring 11 touchdowns. After making 30 catches for 348 yards and five touchdowns during a three-game span from Oct. 22-Nov. 4, he was held to just two catches for 5 yards last week.
