Nick Montana Starting For Washington Vs. Oregon State: Yes, That Nick Montana

Nick Montana, the famous Nick Montana, will start for the Washington Huskies on Saturday.

The Washington Huskies will start Nick Montana at quarterback in place of injured starter Keith Price, who sprained his left knee last week against the USC Trojans, coach Steve Sarkisian announced after some delay. Montana, a freshman, will make his first career start against the Oregon St. Beavers.

In spot appearances and in relief duty against USC, Montana has piled up a 65 percent completion rate and a 133.2 quarterback rating. Highly recruited out of college, he had the chance to follow his father -- Joe Montana! You might’ve heard! -- to Notre Dame, but elected to set up shop in the Pacific Northwest instead.

Don’t expect Montana to need to do too much to beat lowly OSU, but it will make for live-fire competition sure to get some sort of quarterback disagreement stirred up.
