Florida Gators fans who may have been worried about their team reaching bowl eligibility — a legitimate concern considering the team's 5-5 record and embarrassing losing trend — need not worry any longer, because Furman is here to the save the day. Though Florida has managed to lose five of its last six games, the Furman Paladins have won just six games in the Football Championship Series, including losing their last contest against powerhouse Elon.
Furman Vs. Florida Game Time, TV Schedule, Spread And More
Florida hosts Furman in an easy game to make the Gators bowl eligible after they’ve lost five of their last six games.
Florida, other than a win against Vanderbilt in Week 10, has crumbled since starting the season 4-0. They've had a brutal schedule — their losses have all come against ranked teams — but Gators fans expect more of their team. John Brantley has thrown just six touchdown passes all season and they haven't been able to maximize the blinding speed of Chris Rainey and Jeff Demps. They shouldn't have a problem winning this game, but it's concerning moving forward.
Game date, time: 1 pm ET, Saturday, November 19
Location: Ben Hill Griffin Stadium, Gainesville, Fla.
TV channel: ESPN Gameplan, ESPN3
Spread: Florida favored by 29.5
