Robert Griffin III destroyed the Oklahoma Sooners' BCS title hopes last week, but the Sooners still control their own destiny in the race for a BCS bid. If they can get by the Iowa State Cyclones this week and win the Bedlam rivalry game, they'll be Big 12 champions. Obviously, this is much easier said than done. Iowa State upset Oklahoma State last week and also have wins against Iowa and at Texas Tech.

The Iowa State offense has had occasional success, but against average defenses. Iowa State blog Wide Right & Natty Lite isn’t confident about their chances of moving the ball down the field.

Iowa State has had their most success against the questionable defenses of Texas Tech, Kansas and Oklahoma State. The Sooners’ defense is not at the elite level of years past but is still ranked 62nd in the country, which is an entire 40 spots ahead of Oklahoma State. A lot of this ranking is due to the depth of the defense and questionable line play that has forced Oklahoma defensive coordinator Brent Venables to play even more aggressive than the average Sooner defense.

Oklahoma blog Crimson And Cream Machine isn’t so sure, however, and feels like an upset is a possibility.

On paper what’s scary about this game is it screams another upset loss for OU. The Sooners are a four touchdown favorite, it’s a game you could easily see them not getting up for, and Iowa State is obviously playing incredibly well coming off maybe the biggest win in program history. Normally I’d say it’s a good spot for a let down game for them, but with Paul Rhodes at the helm I don’t think that’s very likely.
