The Ohio State Buckeyes took a 7-0 lead in Ann Arbor on a 54 yard pass from Braxton Miller to Corey Brown. The Buckeyes went with a playaction fake and rolled Miller out to his left. With the dual-threat QB rolling outside the tackle box, both Michigan safeties pressed an underneath route, baited by the Buckeyes’ star wide receiver DeVier Posey. The Wolverine safeties’ mistake left Corey Brown wide open streaking towards the end zone. Miller hit Brown in stride for the 54 yard touchdown. It was an easy pitch-and-catch as there was not a UM defender within ten yards of Brown when Miller let it go. A screen grab of the Michigan defensive miscue is below:

The Buckeyes quarterback was impressive on the six play drive, hitting three of four passes and also scrambling for a 15 yard gain. Much of the focus coming into the game was on the dual-threat ability of Michigan quarterback Denard Robinson but the freshman Miller was the first to strike.
