Paul Wulff Not Yet Fired Despite 90-Minute Meeting With Washington State AD

Washington St. Cougars head coach Paul Wulff will reportedly be fired, but athletic director Bill Moos says that hasn't quite happened just yet. The Wazzu AD released a statement on a rather lengthy meeting with his current head coach, during which discussions were discussed:

Paul and I met for an hour and a half this afternoon so I could hear his assessment of the season and where he would like to take the program from here. Our discussions will be ongoing.

Wulff is 9-40 in four seasons in Pullman, though his 2011 effort at least produced a Bill Doba-esque four wins. Mike Price isn’t walking back through that door (hold your punch lines, please), but Cougars fans have joined fans of just about every other school in hoping for a certain other Mike to declare their program a sea-worthy venture.
