Mike Price’s Future At UTEP To Be Settled This Week

UTEP coach Mike Price will find out his fate in a meeting with the AD and school president later this week.

UTEP Miners head coach Mike Price will meet with athletic director Bob Stull and school president Dr. Diana Natalicio "in the next few days" to discuss the future of the program and his position after finishing the season with a 5-7 record.

Price's seven-year mark at UTEP is 45-52 and his career record is now 174-174.

UTEP peaked in Price’s first season, when they finished 8-4 and attended the GMAC Bowl. Since then, he has finished with a losing record in every year, including 2010’s 6-7 run that included a loss in the New Mexico Bowl.

Price told reporters that he wants to return for an eigth season (via El Paso Times).

"I want to come back...We're going to be pretty good next year. We will meet on (Natalicio's) schedule, so until then I can't really say anything."

Price also noted that this meeting is procedural and not different than what has happened in previous years.
