Ryan Broyles Injury Update: Torn ACL Likely Ends Oklahoma Great’s Career

Awful news out of Norman: Oklahoma Sooners wide receiver Ryan Broyles, the NCAA's all-time receptions leader, has suffered a torn ACL. This will likely end his season, and, since he's a senior, his college career.

Broyles went down in the third quarter against Texas A&M with an obvious knee injury. He made it off the field without apparent agony, sitting on the trainer’s table while surrounded by at least a half-dozen team medics. At one point a doctor delivered him some news in his ear -- his head dropped. When it came back up, he was crying. Broyles was helped into the locker room, and the injury update made its way out after the game.

Broyles will be remembered as one of the greatest players in Oklahoma history. He had a chance to be a highly drafted NFL player last year, but chose to come back for a title run.
